The Role @ Sumo

As an integral part of the IT Services Team, your main responsibility will be to streamline and automate our internal processes. As an IT Automation Specialist, you will increase overall efficiency and encourage a proactive approach within the department. You will focus on automation, creating internal processes, promoting efficiency and freeing up team members to be more proactive. Your tasks will involve not only automating already identified processes but also collaborating with the team to find new areas of improvement.

In your role you will:

  • Automate core IT processes using scripting tools such as PowerShell.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to spot areas where automation could yield efficiency gains.
  • Integrate automated functions with existing toolsets like SCCM.
  • Automate interactions with external websites for user base management via APIs.
  • To be successful, you will have:

  • Proven experience in automating IT processes using scripting and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience working with IT teams to identify automation potential for efficiency improvements.
  • Established track record of successfully implementing and documenting automation processes.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with SCCM, AD, and both Windows and Mac Operating Systems.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly for working with teams to identify areas of improvements.
  • Ability to influence and make an impact, guiding people through the automation journey.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively as part of a team, while also having the capacity to work independently to deliver results.
