The Role @ Sumo:

We are seeking a skilled and strategic Brand Marketing Manager to lead our brand's marketing initiatives targeting all our audiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in B2B marketing, brand strategy, with a proven track record working with business development teams and crafting compelling integrated marketing campaigns and content across all touchpoints. The Brand Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversion for our Sumo Group studios.

About the role:

  • Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive integrated marketing strategies that incorporate various online and offline channels, including digital, social media, content marketing, events, and more. Align strategies with overall business objectives and target audience preferences.
  • Brand Strategy & Messaging: Refine the brand's messaging strategy, ensuring it aligns with our brand values, and target audience. Create clear, concise, and compelling messaging for various marketing materials.
  • Integrated Campaign Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, development and execution of compelling integrated marketing campaigns that convey our brand and value proposition across different channels, including digital, social media, print, and events.
  • Content Strategy: Work closely with the content team to develop compelling thought leadership content, case studies, whitepapers, and other materials that resonate with our priority audiences. Ensure a consistent message and alignment with the customer journey and pain points.
  • B2B Event Strategy: Collaborate with events team to develop business development event strategies, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and workshops. Ensure effective campaign and content to drive attendance and engagement pre, during and post event.
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Develop and execute ABM strategies to personalise marketing efforts for key B2B accounts. Collaborate with our Business Development team to create customised experiences that resonate with target accounts.
  • Brand Guidelines: Oversee the maintenance of comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure a consistent application across our studios, assets and materials.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development and Recruitment, plus our internal studio stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication of brand initiatives.
  • Measurement and Analysis: Define KPIs for communication campaigns and analyse their performance. Use data-driven insights to provide learnings that will help refine future strategies.
  • Budget Management: Develop proposals with cost estimates and manage expenses to ensure budget parameters are adhered to.
  • We need you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Games sector experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, messaging, and integrated communications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft engaging and persuasive messages.
  • Proficiency in content creation, copywriting, and storytelling.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, social media, and email marketing.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to measure and optimise campaign performance.
